OurStoryg.Foley’s was inspired by a very special lady who touched the lives of many. The youngest of five children born to Irish immigrants, she would go on to care for her elderly parents, marry a World War II United States Marine veteran, and start her own family, which grew to eleven children after fourteen years. As busy as she became, she always found time for her family and her community. With a husband and eleven children, six girls and five boys, her house became a revolving door of neighborhood kids, co-workers, friends and acquaintances. She welcomed them all, no matter the circumstances. Every mouth was fed, every thirst quenched. Every story was heard in good company, every song sung in good cheer. Every victory was celebrated, every tear wiped away. Through good times and bad, the world was always a bright place around this wonderful lady. Her outlook never wavered – every day was a gift, everyone had goodness in their souls. Her contagious laugh, kindness, compassion and unmatched hospitality brightened the lives of all she encountered. Here at g.Foley’s, we strive to live up to her example: a spot at a table with great food to satisfy every appetite and quench every thirst, and genuine friendship for everyone that walks through our door, just like that lovely Irish lass who’s name we’re proud to have. Welcome to g. Foley’s, where friends become family.
